Expansion for the future – Ground-breaking ceremony for new warehouse
Akkuplanet GmbH today marked the start of construction of a new warehouse with a rather special ground-breaking ceremony
“The new building will make our logistics even more efficient, and we will be able to stock eight times the volume of products. We will also be able to offer our customers an even wider range,” explains Stefan Hüttermann, Managing Director of Akkuplanet GmbH.
The company is thus responding to the rising demand for its products, thereby ensuring that its customers continue to receive their orders in a timely manner as usual. The specialist in mobile energy and mobile communication solutions is investing around 1.5 million euros in the new construction project.
Akkuplanet has purchased the plot of land opposite its headquarters in Meerbusch-Strümp. The 20 x 30 m warehouse is being constructed using a modular design, so that extensions can be added at any time as part of the company’s planned expansion. It is being built to the latest standards, with a timber and glass external façade and a cantilevered office level on the upper floor.
The company does not limit its commitment to sustainability to its products alone. For some time now, Akkuplanet GmbH has also been focusing on the sustainable use of energy. With a photovoltaic system on the roof of the warehouse, the company will in future be able to generate a large proportion of its own electricity and store it temporarily using battery storage.
